As a designer, you cannot wish for a greater compliment: a very happy client who takes you on a spontaneous tour through the garden and can’t stop talking. He never thought it possible that he would be making a round through his own garden every day. Just to enjoy nature, the enormous number of birds and to breath in the ever-changing flower display in this naturalistic garden. This makes us very happy. Because this is exactly what we aim for with our outdoor spaces.
A real eye-catcher is of course the floating pool in the pond, great on hot days. But most important is the connection with life: flower beds and the beautiful trees that attract huge numbers of birds, the horses, sheep and chickens around the house and stables. The adventurous design of the garden makes you discover all this automatically. It has become a garden that radiates a beautiful tranquility, is always developing and where the seasons get their deserved stage.
It is hard to imagine that this garden was an empty meadow three years before these photos were taken. We were involved in the construction team at an early stage in order to devise a total project together with the architect and the client. The wishes were clear: a rural setting that fits in nicely with the nature reserve behind it. A place to live where nature plays an important role, where it is nice to relax and where the horse meadows are never far away.
