Modern woodland garden with height differences

This contemporary woodland garden was realised in the winter of 2014-2015. This is a special project, because this garden was designed and built earlier – in 1984 – by our then landscaping company under the guidance of my father.

The old design had sufficient starting points for the current garden: the retaining walls and the garden pavilion of the former garden have been maintained and provide the basic structure of the new design. It’s nice to see that this garden moves on with the new generation. And for me and my father, of course, a special moment in which past and present merge. We also show a few nostalgic pictures, shot during the construction in the early `80s.

The result is a sleek design in warm shades that fits in well with the striking home and the taste of the current residents. This modern woodland garden with prairie border, natural vegetation, austere pond and modern carport looks perfect and will become more beautiful over the years.
